He came to us from a very good racing kennel, so he is already in excellent condition as you can see from his photos. Noel has a very nice, easy going, calm, and quiet temperament. He rarely barks, and if he does, it is just to alert you to a noise he hears outside. Noel is tall, elegant greyhound boy that is approximately 74 lbs. He has already lived in a home as a pet, so he is already completely home acclimated and has excellent house manners. When we take him to events, we get a lot of compliments on how handsome he is. Once you meet Noel, you will see why. Noel goes up to whoever is nearby wanting some attention and is very social. Around the house, Noel is easy to handle and will stand quietly for a bath or to have his nails trimmed. He also rides fine in a van or SUV, and kennels well during the day when his foster parents are away from home. Noel gets along very well with the other greyhounds in his foster home, and paid no attention to the cat when we tested him. He should be able to live comfortably in a home with a cat. He has lived in a home with children, but gets nervous and will bark when they are playing loudly and screaming, telling them in his own way to quiet down. We recommend Noel for a home with older children (teenagers) and adults only. During his career, Noel competed at Southland Greyhound Track in Arkansas, and at Derby Lane in St. Petersburg. In all, Noel competed in 118 races and won 9 times. His racing days are now over, and Noel would like to enjoy his retirement in a home with a nice family that will take him for walks and give him lots of love and attention and of course, lots of treats. Noel's $250 adoption fee includes his neuter, teeth cleaning, all vaccines, Bordetella (to protect against kennel cough), microchip, leash and collar, adoption guide, BAGA identification tag, and 30 days free health insurance.
